Motor Vehicle Search
How do I search using a motor vehicle's details?
When conducting a 'Motor Vehicle Search' you are required to enter one of the following, or all if they exist:
- Registration Number
- Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)
- Chassis Number.
You can enter more than one search criteria e.g. (Registration Number and VIN) as the PPSR search tool will look for any securities that match either one of your search criteria. In this instance, the more search criteria you enter, the wider your search becomes.
The wild card character * cannot be used for this search.

Notes
Your User ID is a nine-digit number and your password is seven alphanumeric characters and is case sensitive.
When searching, enter only alphanumeric characters e.g. A-Z and 0-9. If the person registering the financing statement entered non-alphanumeric characters, these will have been removed for searching purposes.
The more criteria you enter, the wider your search becomes. As a general rule, it is probably better not to narrow your search too much.
